Calling Waitākere Alumni in Business

Ribbon Cutting at grand opening of the Business School

If you've built a business since leaving Waitakere College, we'd love to reconnect.

The Waitakere College Foundation is launching a new Community Partnership Programme, creating a simple way for alumni-owned businesses to support today's students while promoting their business to the wider Waitakere College community.

This isn't about writing a cheque. It's about creating partnerships that benefit everyone. Whether it's offering a special promotion with a small percentage donated to the Foundation, or contributing a product or service as a fundraising prize, your business can make a real difference while gaining exposure across our school and alumni networks.

Every partnership helps remove financial barriers so students can experience camps, sports, cultural activities and tertiary opportunities—giving them the same chance to create memories and build confidence, just as many of us did.

If Waitakere College helped shape your journey, we'd love to explore how your business could help shape someone else's. Together, we can strengthen our community and create more opportunities for the next generation.

Interested in becoming a Community Partner? We'd love to hear from you - please email info@wcf.nz

Beats By Bingo Fundraiser

Colour Fun run

The Waitākere College Foundation is thrilled to announce the return of our highly anticipated Beats By Bingo Fundraiser!        Book Now

Gather your friends, colleagues or whānau – or just come along solo! It’s an individual game where everyone plays their own card, so you don’t need a team to join in the fun and you can sit at any table. It’s a super relaxed, social night and a great way to mix and mingle. Listen to the beats, find the song on your bingo card and win! There will be 5 rounds of bingo, and you will be dancing in your seat the whole time. Prizes for each round of bingo, as well as spot prizes, raffles and games. All Tickets include a welcome drink!

Don’t wait: Last year’s event was a massive success and completely sold out! Because we expect tickets to fly just as fast as last year, we want to give our school community the first heads-up.

We are currently offering a special early bird ticket price of $30 (+ $1.20 booking fee) per person (which includes your welcome drink!). The regular ticket price is $35+ booking fee.

Event Details:

●  When: Friday, 28th August (Doors open at 6:30 PM, first game starts at 7:00 PM)

Alumni Drum Kit Donation

Colour Fun run

We were delighted to recently receive a generous donation of a drum kit from former student Michael Robinson, who was Head Boy in 1989. It was a real pleasure to reconnect and hear about his ongoing connection to music and the school.

This donation will make a meaningful difference to our students, providing more opportunities for them to develop their rhythmic skills and participate in bands. We are incredibly grateful for Michael’s generosity and support of our music programme.

Thank you, Michael, for giving back to Waitākere College!

Support, Volunteer, Sponsor
 — Make an Impact

At Waitakere College Foundation, our mission is simple but powerful: “provide opportunities for our kids to succeed in education by reducing barriers.”

Because of the generosity of people like you — former students, community leaders, and local businesses — we’ve been able to support equity in education through scholarships, driver-licence programmes, school camp funding, and access to essential tools like Chromebooks.

If you’d like to get involved, here are a few ways to help:

  • Donate — Every contribution, big or small, helps remove financial barriers for students.

  • Volunteer — Share your time and skills by joining us at events or becoming a trustee; your experience as an alum can make a real impact. Call Tracey on 021444209

  • Sponsor — If you own or work in a business, consider partnering with us through corporate sponsorship or in-kind support.

If you’re interested in any of these opportunities or have other ideas, we’d love to hear from you. Reach out via info@wcf.nz
